Mayflower Chorus will be Singing Their Hearts Out with the romance and rhythms of the Great American Songbook, enlivened by narratives and staging surprises. Director Mark Penn, in his third Mayflower Chorus season, touches all the right chords to bring out the group’s full musicality and exuberance.
Swing along with the chorus and musicians to Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies”, Harold Arlen’s “Get Happy” and Gershwin’s “I Got Rhythm”. Remember...or anticipate...your own romances, as expressed in Gershwin’s “Embraceable You” and “Love is Here to Stay”, Rodgers and Hart’s “Isn’t It Romantic?” and “My Romance”, Cole Porter’s “Night and Day”, and Jerome Kern’s “The Way You Look Tonight”.

The rich 40-voice chorus, soloists, duets and ensembles vary the mood and sound texture. The keyboard mastery of David Manley and an instrumental ensemble enrich the experience.
