Medicinal Marijuana Workshop Set For Oct. 10 In Marin County
The workshop is slated to start at 1:30 p.m. at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – In preparation for an upcoming public hearing, community members are invited to provide input on the draft of a new medicinal marijuana delivery-only retailer ordinance during an Oct. 10 workshop. The workshop is slated to start at 1:30 p.m. at the Marin County Board of Supervisors meeting.
Following feedback from residents, industry stakeholders and the board, the county debuted a draft of the new ordinance in September. The ordinance would require retailers to be closed to the public and dispense medicinal marijuana exclusively by delivery – a significant change from an earlier draft.
The new draft ordinance only affects medicinal cannabis regulations in the unincorporated areas of Marin. Cities and towns create regulations in their own jurisdictions.

Supervisors are slated to listen to comments but not vote during the Oct. 10 workshop.
The public is also invited to submit comments prior to the first reading of the ordinance, which is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 31. A final public hearing is tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 14. If the ordinance is approved, a license application period would begin.
