Most Marin Schools Open Monday
Almost all of Marin County's public schools are open Monday. School-related sports activities are anticipated to resume Tuesday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Most of Marin County's public schools are open Monday, after being closed Friday as a result of a variety of challenges related to the North Bay wildfires.
"This is a tragedy that continues to unfold, and will have lasting impacts on our entire North Bay
community and beyond," Mary Jane Burke, county superintendent of schools, said in a statement on Marin County Office of Education's website. "Our school community stands ready to help our neighbors to the north, including many of our own staff members, however we can. We know that the single most important thing we can do is to continue to provide a safe and high quality education for our students."
The College of Marin and Dominican University are also open Monday, Burke said. The schools in the city of San Rafael's elementary and high school districts and Nicasio school are closed for previously scheduled staff development days.
