Nominations Open For Marin County's MLK Humanitarian Awards
The Marin County Human Rights Commission will honor three adults and two high school students from Marin.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The Marin County Human Rights Commission is accepting nominations for the 38th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Awards.
The awards are given to individuals whose community work exemplifies activism for human rights, according to the county. Nominees must be advocates for human rights in Marin and live, work, or attend school in the county.
The commission plans to award three adults and two high school students, according to the county.

Adult award winners will receive a $1,000 stipend given to a nonprofit agency of their choice, county officials said. Youth winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Funding for the scholarships and stipends is provided by the Marin Community Foundation.
The nomination deadline is Dec. 1.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony Feb. 6, 2020, at McInnis Park Golf Center Restaurant.
