Novato High Schoolers walk off in Protest of recent Election
2016 election protest, high school protest, make my voices heard, not my president

As a parent, I wonder what my kids will be like as they grow older. What will be meaningful to them and how they will represent themselves when given an opportunity to express themselves.
Today November 14 2016 I was able get further insight into what I already know to be true, that my 16-year-old daughter has a voice and strong opinions about the world she lives in and I couldn’t be more proud of her. (and all the students that made their voices and concerns heard.)
At least 150 kids walked out of class today at Novato High School to Protest the newly elected President, Donald Trump.

With respect to themselves and others they peacefully paraded from Novato High to Downtown Novato past many local business and city hall then back to the school. The simple demonstration showed determination and the ability to give way to their own thoughts and take a stance on how they feel about the new administration coming into office.
They may not be able to vote but they certainly have strong view points and today they let them be heard.

Look Out Mr. Trump in a few years there will be many more new voters very motivated to make their votes count.
