Police and Fire Beat: Suspects Order 350-Pill Hydrocodone Prescription

Friday, Sept. 17

A 21-year-old suspect from Oakland placed an order for a prescription for 350 hydrocodone pills at about 10:30 p.m. at Walgreen's at 830 Third St. When she returned to pick up the drugs she was detained. A second suspect, a 25-year-old Hayward resident, was waiting in a car outside the store. Both were booked in Marin County Jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary and forging a prescription, both felonies,  and obtaining a controlled substance.

Saturday, Sept. 18

At about 9:45 a.m. a victim reported that a $410 table saw had been removed from the patio of the Valley Baptist Church at 3 North San Pedro Road. The victim said he was not in the patio at the time. The patio is enclosed but has no roof.

A victim reported that at about 2 p.m. that on Sept. 15, she was outside the Ross store at 75 Bellam Blvd. when a 65- to 70-year-old female and 45- to 48-year old male started a conversation with her. The female suspect pulled a handgun on the victim and forced her to get in her car and drive to her apartment on the 1100-block of Lincoln Avenue. At the apartment the victim was ordered to hand over all of her money, which  totaled more than $3,000.

Sunday, Sept. 19

At 10:27 a.m., a 57-year-old Aquinas Drive resident reported that she had left the key in her unlocked 2007 gray Chevy Tahoe at 11 p.m. the prior night. At about 10:27 on Sunday, the victim said the car had been stolen along with a driver's license and three credit cards. The vehicle was entered into the state stolen vehicle system.

Wednesday, Sept. 22

Shortly before 4:53 a.m. a suspect smashed a plexiglass door pane and entered Azteca Market at 555 East Francisco Blvd.,  and removed $1,000 worth of cigarettes and a cash register valued at $800. An alarm was activated and the suspect apparently left the business before officers arrived.
