San Rafael Bicyclist Killed In Crash ID'd

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Officials have identified the bicyclist who was killed in a crash on a trail in San Rafael.

John Cullum, 46, of San Rafael, was not wearing a helmet when he crashed his bicycle last Friday, according to the Marin County Coroner's Office. The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. when his bicycle struck something on a trail near Lincoln Avenue north of Prospect Drive and south of Fair Drive, Chief Deputy Coroner Roger Fielding said.

A passerby found Cullum on the ground, Fielding said. He died at the scene.
