San Rafael Duo Hit By SUV in Crosswalk, Hospitalized: Police
A 47-year-old man was listed in critical condition and a 44-year-old woman was in serious but stable condition, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA- Two San Rafael residents were struck and injured by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk on Tuesday evening, a police lieutenant said.
A 47-year-old man was listed in critical condition and a 44-year-old woman was in serious but stable condition at Marin General Hospital following the collision, Lt. Alan Piombo said.
A 67-year-old San Rafael woman driving a Jeep Cherokee SUV south on Lincoln Avenue around 6 p.m. did not appear to slow down or brake before striking the pedestrians, who were in a crosswalk at Grand Avenue between the Villa Inn and Sloat Garden Center, Piombo said.

The driver did not appear to be impaired or under the influence of alcohol, according to Piombo.
