San Rafael Fire Damages 2 Homes, Fence
The fire caused about $75,000 in damage to two homes and a fence, city fire officials said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A fire early Saturday morning in San Rafael caused about $75,000 in damage to two homes and a fence, city fire officials said.
Someone called 911 at 12:29 a.m. to report a fire as they were driving in the area of Arguello Circle, Battalion Chief Matt Windrem said.
Then the caller drove to the fire and woke up the residents of one of the homes.

The residents came out and used a garden hose to limit the spread of the fire, according to Windrem.
No one was injured and no one was displaced.

Windrem said the cause is undetermined but firefighters believe the fire started in a garden shed. Then it spread to a fence and the houses at 25 and 31 Arguello Circle.
