SAN RAFAEL, CA – A jewelry store burglary in San Rafael last month was similar to other recent jewelry store burglaries in the Bay Area, police said Tuesday.
Four suspects broke open the door of Villa Jewelers at 1307 Fourth St. around 3:20 a.m. on June 23, police Lt. Dan Fink said. The suspects tried to break the jewelry cases and fled in a gold Mercedes-Benz with several items from the store.
Surveillance video from the store showed the suspects wearing ski masks. The person who heard the alarm and called the police saw the suspects leaving the store and said there were four men, Fink said. Two were wearing hooded sweatshirts
