San Rafael Lane Closure To Last Through Spring 2023

The closure is needed to accommodate the Fire Station 55 reconstruction project, city officials said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Part of a San Rafael road will be closed for more than a year amid an ongoing construction project, city officials said.

A traffic lane will be closed and a bike lane relocated on San Pedro Point Road through the spring of 2023 amid the reconstruction of Fire Station 55, the city’s public works department said.

The temporary closure of a lane of westbound traffic on San Pedro Point Road between Peacock and Knight drives is needed to maintain Fire Department response times, promote bicycle and pedestrian safety, and accommodate the construction project’s demands, city officials said.
