School Canceled In Marin County On Friday
Marin County school districts, the College of Marin, and the Dominican University of California will be closed on Friday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — School has been canceled Friday for students and staff in Marin County school districts. Smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County continues to cause unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area and the smoky conditions are expected to linger into next week, air quality officials said.
"We have been in close contact with our districts and the Department of Health and Human Services related to concerns and challenges associated with the regional wildfires this past week," said Mary Jane Burke, Marin County Superintendent of Schools. "Our school district leaders recognize that providing a consistent message in support our staff, families and community as a whole is critical."
The decision to cancel classes was made with the support and guidance of Dr. Matt Willis, the county's public health officer, Burke said.
