MusicAEterna’s concert, entitled SHADOW & LIGHT, features performances of Takemitsu’s lyrical violin-piano duo, “Distance de Fée”, Dvorak’s moving Piano Trio in F Minor, Op. 65, and Aenea Keyes’ collaborative world premiere “Shadow and Light”, celebrating poet-pacifist William Stafford’s centennial year. In “Shadow and Light”, MusicAEterna creates a musical dialogue with poetry and visual art by exploring themes from Stafford’s writing and art of the twentieth century, and combining Keyes’ scored structure with their signature ChamberImpov.
