SMART Train Continues Free Emergency Service Tuesday

BREAKING: Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is providing free, limited emergency service between downtown Santa Rosa and downtown San Rafael.

NORTH BAY, CA – Following the devastating North Bay wildfires, Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is providing free, limited emergency service between downtown Santa Rosa and downtown San Rafael for the second day.

SMART will run 28 train trips Tuesday between the two cities and the stations in between. Southbound service begins at 5:01 a.m. out of Santa Rosa and northbound service begins at 6:29 a.m. out of San Rafael.

Due to power outages and closed railroad crossings in the northern portion of Santa Rosa, the Sonoma County Airport and Santa Rosa North stations will be closed Tuesday.
