Spirit Halloween Stores Open In Marin County

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Halloween is around the corner, which means Spirit Halloween stores have opened in towns across the country, including two in Marin County. Both are located in San Rafael.

The seasonal retailer sells costumes, accessories and decorations for the holiday. Spirit Halloween also accepts donations at its stores as part of the annual "Spirit of Children" program, which provides funding for children in hospitals.

Since 2007, Spirit of Children has raised $55 million to provide Child Life funding for art, music, aquatic and pet therapy programs as well as the purchase of educational items and toys used for distraction during medical procedures. According to the retailer's website, 100 percent of every dollar donated supports Child Life funding in 141 partner hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
