1 In 4 San Ramon Households Have Yet To Respond To Census

Census takers will come knocking on the doors of people who have not responded August 11.

SAN RAMON, CA — One in four San Ramon households still have not completed the census, data shows.

Census-takers will start going around to each house that has not responded on August 11. Participation in the census in mandatory.

In San Ramon, 75 percent of households have completed the census, which gives the government an idea of how many people are in the country and helps them decide how to apportion congressional seats and allocate funding. Still, San Ramon's rate is much higher than the state average: 63 percent.

  • Danville: 82 percent
  • Dublin: 72 percent
  • Pleasanton: 75 percent
  • Livermore: 77 percent
