Assistance League of Diablo Valley® is a nonprofit, member volunteer organization dedicated to improving lives in our community through its 16 hands-on programs. The chapter recently received a $21,500 cash award from the Orinda Woman’s Club, having been designated as the primary beneficiary of the club’s 2021 fundraisers.

The very much appreciated and coveted award will benefit Common Threads, which provides clothing for homeless high school students. As it happens, Assisteens, an auxiliary comprised of middle- and high school students, are hands-on involved in shopping on behalf of the homeless youth. The impact that this grant will have on their lives is un-ending.
