This well-known landmark epitomizes the term Vintage.

The innovative member volunteers at Assistance League ® Thrift Shop at the Way Side Inn, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, are busily preparing for the Vintage from Grandma’s Attic event scheduled to begin Tuesday, January 11 at 10 a.m. The term Vintage conveys a culturally significant item ranging from 20 to 99 years in age. Available Vintage pieces, in various conditions, display the qualities and nuances of a particular era.

How apropos that such items as women’s clothing, furs, hats, handbags, toys, framed artwork, kitchen items, and books will top the list. Additional artifacts will include vanity mirrors, cookware, planters, trays and a paper mache horse toy. Prices will range from $3 to $35.

One aspect that transcends a designated time frame is your ongoing support of Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s hands-on programs. Your generosity truly improves the lives of those in our community who are vulnerable. Who would have thought that our present dollar sales now approach those enjoyed during pre-Covid times?
