'Be Reel!' Traffic Safety Video Contest Accepting Submissions

Middle and high school students can win up to $300 in Amazon gift cards for videos highlighting traffic safety.

SAN RAMON, CA — High school and middle school students can win up to $300 in Amazon gift cards by participating in the 19th annual Street Smarts “Be Reel!” video contest to promote traffic safety.

Students in groups of up to four in grades 6 through 12 can create roughly 60-second public safety announcement videos highlighting the theme of “Safety First.” Separate contests are held for grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Winning videos will be shown online and presented at SRVUSD middle and high school traffic safety education assemblies.

Videos should be submitted by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. Winners and finalists will be announced March 25 at the Street Smarts “Be Reel!” Video Contest Awards Ceremony at the Danville Village Theatre.

Second-prize winners will receive $200 in Amazon gift cards, and third-prize winners will receive $100 in Amazon gift cards.
