It's More Than 'Just One Purse'
Why own lots of purses when you can wear one, several different ways?
I'm a firm believer that a hand bag adds an important touch to any outfit – but I own too many and constantly give some away to make room for new ones.
So I was quite excited this past weekend to discover that may just change the way we carry our belongings. Or too many belongings in my case.
I took a trip out of San Ramon on Saturday and headed to the Portuguese Day festivities with my family in San Jose at San Jose History Park. After indulging in one of the most amazing linguica sandwiches I have eaten in quite some time, I came across an amazing finding as I was wondering the booths - The Miche Bag.

Now some people may have already been turned on to this latest invention; I later found out that something similar is featured on QVC. But it was sure new to me and may be to many others.
The Miche Bag is a purse that can be converted into many purses. You first purchase the bag itself which is offered in many sizes and even offered in small evening bags. (Naturally as history usually repeats itself I ended up with the largest one.) Then, after you pick the bag that best fits your style, you can pick from a wide variety of different "shells" for that bag which cover the outside of the purse, then magnet at the top to hold it on tight – and you are left with a plain bag on the inside, with a huge personality on the outside.

Once you own that purse and I decide your bored with the color, style, etc., I simply purchase a new shell and make it look like a brand new purse. One simple bag that can be converted into many. Why had I not seen this before?
Lisa George, who was the San Jose based sales representative for this booth, was very patient and kind in dealing with my excitement and wanting to see every little accessory and shell they had to offer. Here's what she had to say about the Miche Bag and her job in sales:
"Two words: 'Totally awesome!' As a self confessed purse-a-holic, imagine the excitement of having the options of different designs, style, and colors, with just one bag. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of this; to bring joy to others in such a great affordable package."
After much back and forth, I ended up with a large Big Base Bag, and the Yellow Hope shell, in which $5 of the purchase of that shell went towards Cancer Research. The bag has very inspiring messages from cancer survivors and patients put into the design of the shell. It was an easy choice for me as a participant in the Relay for Life. I bought a purse I can use in 100 different ways, and made a small difference.
Although Lisa is based out of San Jose you can order from her online, or find a consultant in our area. Here is the information: www.mymiche.com or www.mymiche.com/lisa_george.
I am very happy with my latest discovery in fashion and convenience. Finally, a bag with more than one purpose.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
