I'm writing to you from a rainy June day, with soup in the crockpot, and about 20 minutes before I need to leave to pick up my first grader. And I know what you're thinking, "Yawn, another mommy blogger." But I promise not to bore you to tears, I promise to make you laugh, and I promise to offer insight on what it's like to live with a 5-year-old with Autism.
But wait, I have more! My youngest has ADHD as well, and my oldest son has ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder and my daughter is a sassy 6-year-old. I know, technically I'm a special needs parent but I like to think that my sons have gifts, not deficits. Just like I do with my typically developing daughter, I aim to hone their skills until they are beneficial for them and society.
My name is Charlotte, I'm 41, married and my husband and I have lived in San Ramon since 2001. My husband is a local family practice physician and currently the Chief of Staff at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. And because of his career I promise to not swear profusely or blog about politics. We also have a six-toed cat.

I really look forward to challenging your idea of a what a mommy blogger is, what it means to live with a special needs kids, and what it's like to live with a doctor, Hint: they forget to close the bread bag after making a sandwich, just like your husband.
