San Ramon Author Sondra Perry Discovers Family History
Family history projects lead to discovery–not only of the family stories, but also to knowledge of ourselves.

Local author Sondra Perry is passionate about her family's stories, so much so that she recently had me research and write them down in a book entitled, Then and Now: The Story of the Busch Family.
Researching the family history gives you a chance to not only record the family stories, which in Sondra's case included an ancestor drowning in the not-quite-frozen Volga River in Russia, but also to learn about what centuries-old DNA traits you carry which contribute to those loveable but previously unexplanable personality quirks.
As an example, I discovered that my ancestors were fearless about trekking off into uncharted territory and starting new ventures, a trait which I carry today.
