Chevys Restaurants' Parent Company Files for Bankruptcy

Real Mex restaurants is reportedly trying to sell off its assets.

The parent company of Chevys restaurants has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to published reports.

An article in the Silicon Valley Business Journal states Real Mex Restaurants is seeking to sell off its assets because it couldn't reach an agreement to restructure its debt obligations.

In the East Bay, there are Chevys restaurants in San Ramon, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Union City and Livermore as well as other locations.
