First District Elections In San Ramon Planned This November
Elections will no longer be conducted on a citywide level, but voters will cast ballots for candidates in their respective district.

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon voters casting ballots in the Nov. 3 general election will notice the city has done away with city-wide council elections.
The city has switched to district elections, meaning a voter's place of residence determines which candidates they will be able to vote for. Previously residents could vote for two council candidates, regardless of where they lived, the city said.
The city has been divvied up into four districts, with one councilmember for each district. Residents of District 1 and District 3 will elect a councilmember this fall.
