Grass Fire Burns 40 Acres In San Ramon

The blaze was logged near the Montbretia Way neighborhood.

SAN RAMON, CA – A brush fire reported Tuesday afternoon near Montbretia Way in San Ramon was contained at about 40 acres shortly before 5 p.m., according to officials.

The Alameda County Fire Department assisted the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District in battling the two-alarm blaze that consumed grassland.

Local residents were asked to steer clear from the area as firefighters managed the fire.

The Montbretia Way neighborhood is near Monarch Park on North Monarch Road and Dougherty High School, off Bollinger Canyon Road.
