Listen: Recognize This Suspected Robber's Voice?

San Ramon Police are asking the community to listen to the video to help identify the suspect from his distinctive voice.

SAN RAMON, CA: Police investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of robbing a San Ramon gas station early Thursday morning.

According to a Facebook post from San Ramon Police, the robbery occurred at the Shell Gas Station located at Crow Canyon Road and Crow Canyon Place just after 2 a.m.

"Although the suspect's face was covered, we believe he may be employed as a security guard (or something similar) based on his clothing," police officials said.

San Ramon Police Lieutenant Denton Carlson said the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash toward Crow Canyon Place. The victim was not injured.

"The victim saw a four-door grey sedan speeding away just after the robbery, which we believe was involved," Carlson told Patch. "The car was seen traveling on Crow Canyon Road toward I-680."

During the video, the male suspect can be heard repeatedly telling the cashier to "open the cash register."
