The Turning Point: After walking the bases loaded in the first inning, San Ramon starter Devin Rocha didn't lose his cool and got Danville's Clayton Tennant to strike out swinging and Gregg Polosky to ground out to end the threat and the inning.
The Quote: "I just try my best every game. You just look for a pitch to hit and just hit and it's not really my effort but the team effort that counts. The first one was like a foot from the fence. I was down about that one because I was doing the home run trot," Ackerman said.

Dave Jew knows his team needs to give a full effort if they want to reach Williamsport, Penn.
Jew said from one to nine in the batting order, it was a team effort that got them a 6-3 victory over rival Danville Tuesday at Osage Park.
Jake Ackerman got San Ramon off to a hot start. After Tommy Jew drew a full-count walk to start the game, Ackerman hit a drive to deep left that scored Jew for the first run of the game.
"I just try my best every game," Ackerman said. "You just look for a pitch to hit and just hit and it's not really my effort but the team effort that counts. The first one was like a foot from the fence. I was down about that one because I was doing the home run trot."
Ackerman would later score on Devin Rocha's single through the left side of the infield, giving San Ramon an early 2-0 lead. Rocha was the starting pitcher and pitched a solid four innings, with help from Ackerman behind the plate.
"He hit great, six solid innings behind the plate, he's the wall back there," said Jew. "He called a great game, caught a great game, kept the defense in play, wasn't trying to throw behind guys, he did a good job."
Jew's squad tacked three more on in the second. Grant Mendoza walked to start the inning, and Rocky Moore followed it up with a single. Joey Holden hit a single to load the bases. Mendoza then scored on a wild pitch and Michael Pangelinan's single to left drove in Moore and Holden.
San Ramon will play Pleasanton National on Monday at Osage Park at 5:30 p.m.
