If the San Ramon Little League 12-year-old All Star team can continue to hit the way it did in Sunday's 19-0 victory against crosstown rival Canyon Creek in the winner's bracket quarterfinals of the District 57 All Star tournament at Danville's Osage Park, there's no telling how far the team could go.

How's this for a score line: 19 hits, 19 runs, six home runs, three doubles, no errors and a rarity in Little League baseball, a 5-4-3 double-play.

"It was the first game so we didn't really know what to expect, but there were signs we could play like this in practice," San Ramon coach Dave Jew said. "All these kids know each other, so there weren't any big surprises."

Tommy Jew's lead off home run to start the game set the tone for what was to come in. By the time the first inning was over, San Ramon led 9-0 and Devin Rocha and Matt Ramirez added homers of their own.

It was only the beginning.

Jew and Rocha both went deep again in the third as San Ramon added six more runs. By the time the fourth was over Ramirez also added his second homer, Michale Pangelinan was 4 for 4 and the 10-run rule was enforced.

"I think this makes us look like one of the teams to beat," San Ramon second baseman Rocky Moore said. "Canyon Creek played (Saturday) and won really big."

San Ramon will play Danville on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., at Osage, while Canyon Creek plays San Ramon Valley today at 5:30. Canyon Creek would be eliminated with a loss.

Canyon Creek topped Tassajara American 15-1 on Saturday to setup the meeting with San Ramon.

Alex Douglas and Alex Lyijynen both singled for Canyon Creek.
