Little League Intermediate World Series Baseball Returns to East Bay in 2015

The games are scheduled from Aug. 2 to Aug. 8.

For the third year in a row, Livermore and California District 57 Little League have been selected as the hosts for the Intermediate Little League World Series.

Eleven teams from around the world competed in the last Little League Intermediate World Series, including the Canyon Creek LL from the San Ramon Valley area, which represented the Tri-Valley. In 2013, the Pleasanton National Little League represented the Tri-Valley during two of the games in the series, with a perfect game being pitched on July 31. The Nogales National Little League were the 2014 champions.

Players ages 11 to 13 are eligible to play in this Intermediate baseball league, which features a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot bases, also known as “50/70”. The series starts on Aug. 2 to and runs through Aug. 8 at the Max Baer Park in Livermore. Max Baer Park is located at 1310 Murdell Lane in Livermore.
