Man Rescued From San Ramon Trench
BREAKING: The dramatic rescue briefly shut down two San Ramon streets this morning.
SAN RAMON, CA — A man was rescued after he fell into a 6-foot trench in San Ramon this morning, police officials said via social media. The rescue was reported on Omega Road just before 10:30 a.m., according to the Pulsepoint phone application. San Ramon Valley Fire Department crews responded and police briefly shut down Omega and Purdue roads during the rescue.
The man was safely extracted after firefighters stabilized the trench. Police said the man was conscious but suffering from back pain during the rescue. Contra County County Fire Department assisted with the rescue efforts.
