SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon enjoyed a rare treat Monday when a the largest solar radiation storm in 20 years resulted in the famed Northern Lights traveling a lot farther south than they normally do.

Local resident Ronnie Beltran posted this image of the lights from San Ramon, which were bright blue against a star-filled sky. Thank you, Ronnie!
