San Ramon has a whopping 54 parks spread throughout the community, ranging from small neighborhood playgrounds to multiacre, multifeature parks.
Each week, we'll be highlighting one of our city parks, showing you photos, listing park features and telling you what's special about it. We have so many parks that it will take Patch more than a year to profile each one. So, if you have a special park you'd like featured next, let us know.
Park of the Week: Arlington Park
Arlington Park in San Ramon’s Windemere neighborhood (3735 Knights Bridge Way) is a relative newcomer to the city’s park system. The park, along with five others, was first dedicated in September 2007 and has been enhancing the quality of local life ever since.

Today Arlington Park continues to give off a new vibe. This is due in part to the excellent maintenance standards of the city and in part to its exciting and contemporary design features. The park’s hub is definitely the playground area, which is surrounded by a gaze-grabbing 2-D labyrinth. Made of red brick and bright turf, the semicircle labyrinth is visually stunning and makes a fun floor maze for kids.
The play structure is also peppered with unique elements like rock climbing ramps, bubble portholes and a giant metal spiderweb. These are all in addition to the necessary slides, drawbridges and swings. Ground covered in tanbark sets the stage for hours o’fun.
