Safewise Ranks San Ramon Safest California City To Raise A Child

Pleasanton also made the rankings as the 30th safest city nationwide to raise a child and the 10th safest in California.

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon has been ranked as the safest city in California — and the seventh safest nationwide — to raise a child, according to SafeWise's 2019 report on the "50 Safest Cities to Raise a Child." The report looked at statistics such as violent crime rates, sex offender rates, property crime rates, and graduation rates, among others.

Pleasanton also made the rankings as the 30th safest city nationwide to raise a child and the 10th safest in California.

San Ramon achieved an overall safety score of 94.40 (out of a possible 100, and was bested by the following cities:
