San Ramon Emergency Operation Center Plans Up For Review
The planning commission will review plans for a building with an emergency center, dispatch area and more Tuesday.
SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Planning Commission is slated to review plans for a police and fire emergency operations center at 2401 Crow Canyon Road at its Tuesday meeting.
Plans call for a 9,800-square-foot building to be located at the police and Permit Center building, near the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District headquarters and Fire Station No. 38. The building would have an emergency center, dispatch center, gym for police officers, bunks and other spaces to support staff, according to the proposal.
Staff of the Permit Center and non-police departments will be relocated to City Hall at 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, while SRVPFD will take over the building's north wing.

Currently, a 65,500-square-foot building occupied by various city departments is located on the 7-acre site. The emergency operations center would be built on a vacant area of the lot covered with mulch and a few trees.
Police have occupied the building since 2011, council documents show.
