San Ramon Man Killed in Crash Off I-680
CHP officials said the man's 2003 Yamaha RS motorcycle went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

A 36-year-old San Ramon man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a tree off of Interstate Highway 680 in Alamo Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers responded to a report of an accident off of northbound Highway 680 at Stone Valley Road around 1:30 p.m., CHP Officer Ron Simmons said.
The man was driving a 2003 Yamaha RS motorcycle that went off the roadway and crashed into a tree, CHP officials said. At one point both the on- and off-ramps at Stone Valley Road were closed, Simmons said. The motorcycle ended up in a grass area between both ramps, according to Simmons. The ramps were reopened as of about 2:30 p.m., he said. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, according to the CHP.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the CHP Contra Costa area office (925) 646-4980.
