SAN RAMON, CA — It’s the classic small-town story: “police officer rescues kitten.”

On Sunday, San Ramon Police Department’s Corporal Mike Wickman did just that. A community member heard meowing from inside a wall near the Chevron headquarters on Bollinger Canyon Road. They called SRPD, and Corporal Wickman managed to get a little kitten out from inside the wall.

The kitten is healthy and being cared for until its owners are located, SRPD said. If you recognize this kitten, call SRPD at 925-973-2700.

Wickman then went back to celebrating with the community at the City Bishop Ranch Block Party, which featured jugglers, a stilt walker, a plate spinner, an oversized Jenga game, a Flower Truck, lots of ice cream, and more.
