San Ramon Police Department Welcomes New Chief

Craig Stevens was sworn in on Feb. 12.

SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Police Department this week welcomed Craig Stevens as the fourth chief to lead the department since its inception. Stevens, who is one of the original members of the police department, was sworn in on Feb. 12.

After more than 25 years in law enforcement, Stevens is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, holds an AA degree in Administration of Justice and a BS degree in Criminal Justice Management.

Stevens is replacing Chief Dan Pratt, who announced his retirement from the position in 2018.
