San Ramon Resident Appointed As Superior Court Judge
Jason Clay fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Willie Lott, Jr.

SACRAMENTO – A San Ramon resident was recently appointed a judgeship in the Alameda County Superior Court, according to the Office of Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. Jason Clay, 48, who served as a deputy public defender at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office from 1995 to 2006, has served as a commissioner at the Alameda County Superior Court since 2013.
Clay fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Willie Lott, Jr. Brown appointed a total of 25 California superior court judges last month.
