San Ramon Valley Education Foundation Hosts Annual Run for Education

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) proudly hosts the 31st annual Run for Education on October 12th, 2014. The SRVEF Run for Educations offers running enthusiasts, recreational runners, families and community members a half-marathon or 5k run option. Both races are certified by the USA Track and Field organization and can serve as qualifiers for other races.

The run route begins at Iron Horse Middle School and continues through the Bishop Ranch business park, between Norris Canyon Road and Bollinger Canyon Road. There may be traffic impacts the day of the run.

“We are thrilled to host the 31st annual Run for Education to benefit our local schools and students,” said Cristene Burr, executive director for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. “To see the outpouring of support –from individuals, businesses and corporate partners—for such a good cause truly makes us all proud to call San Ramon home.”

As the flagship event for the SRVEF, the Run for Education raises funds for the SRVEF and is distributed to schools throughout the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Made possible by the generous support of local businesses and corporate donor support, this community-wide event historically attracts more than 10,000 runners and community members to the run location.

Cash Prizes & Shirts for Top Finishers!

The top 3 runners in each of the timed races will be awarded a cash prize. Additionally, Forward Motion Sports will also be supplying a short-sleeved performance shirt for the top 50 finishers in each of the timed events.
