San Ramon Valley Rotary Clubs Honor Health Care Workers
Rotarians of Danville and San Ramon cheered on hospital workers for hours as workers came to work and headed home for the day.
SAN RAMON, CA — Members of two San Ramon Valley Rotary clubs gathered outside of San Ramon Regional Medical Center Tuesday morning with a message spelled out on the hospital lawn: "Heroes work here."
The Dougherty Valley/San Ramon and San Ramon Valley Rotary clubs gathered with signs and a drum to cheer on health care workers for two hours as they showed up for the day's shift and headed home.
"Thank you care teams," said one sign.

"#Hospitalheroes," said another.
The gesture was a welcome one for health care workers who have pressed on amid an unprecedented year.

"Our community has been extremely gracious in their support of our teams, for which we are very grateful," wrote hospital spokesperson Krista Deans in an email. "This is another example of that amazing support."
As the Rotarians said, "Not all heroes wear capes."
"Our heroes wear scrubs."
