Slight Uptick in San Ramon's Jobless Rate
After dipping to 4.6 percent in October, San Ramon's unemployment rate jumped up to 4.7 percent last month.
San Ramon's unemployment rate in November grew to 4.7 percent, according to unofficial figures released Friday by the state's Employment Development Department.
The city of 65,000 posted a 4.6 percent jobless rate in October and 4.7 percent August through September.
The unemployment rate was 11.2 percent in Contra Costa County last month, up from 10.9 percent in October, but still less than the 11.3 percent reported August through September.

Alameda County's jobless rate last month was 11.3 percent, down from 11.6 percent in September.
The state's unadjusted unemployment rate in November was 12.4 percent and the nation's 9.3 percent.

Danville's jobless figures increased a little, too. The town of 40,000 posted 6 percent from August through September before falling to 5.8 percent October and up to 5.9 percent in November.
