Student Who Threatened Shooting At Windemere Ranch MS Identified

SAN RAMON, CA — A student who threatened a campus shooting at Windemere Ranch Middle School has been identified, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District reported Thursday.

In a statement to Windemere families, the district said, "We know that people are looking for closure on this, however, in an effort to minimize gossip and rumors, we respectfully ask that you refrain from speculation about this situation. What we can tell you is that the school district follows Education Code when dealing with disciplinary issues and that there are serious consequences for individuals involved in threats to schools."

The threatening message found at Windemere Ranch read, "school shooting Fri 13th," the district reported Monday.

"We want to thank and congratulate the WRMS Administration team, the San Ramon Police Department and our SRVUSD Community for their partnership as we worked to identify the source of the graffiti," the district statement read.
