"We recognize that there has been a recent upsurge in these kinds of incidents," the district said in Monday's statement. "We can and must take every threat we discover seriously. If we want to put an end to this negative behavior, we need your help. We need you to partner with us to reinforce to your student(s) that these incidents are serious and not to be taken lightly. There are consequences for those involved. We also are counting on our community to come forward and share any information they have that might help to identify those responsible. Information can be reported to any adult on campus or by using the anonymous tipline located on the homepage of every school website."

Given the nature of the threat, San Ramon police will be on the Windemere Ranch campus on Friday, Dec. 13.

"Site and district administration is confident in their ability to handle the situation on Friday and is anticipating a safe, normal school day," the district said in the statement. "As we have said before, but it merits repeating, the safety of our staff and students is our greatest responsibility and it will always be our highest priority. We promise to keep everyone informed as more information becomes available."
