Tree Lighting Ceremony Will Impact San Ramon Traffic, Police Say

Breaking: Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when driving home.

SAN RAMON, CA — The annual San Ramon Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place tonight in front of Bishop Ranch 1, officially kicking off the holiday season. The popular tree lighting will take place between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will likely significantly impact traffic, police officials said.

Drivers are asked to consider using Crow Canyon Road or Alcosta Boulevard as an alternate route between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

“We will begin traffic control measures at 4:30 pm to try and alleviate some of the issues but as with years past, lengthy traffic delays are expected on Bollinger Canyon Road during this afternoon and evening,” police said via social media.
