Two Major Injury Collisions Prompt Traffic Detour, Road Closures in San Ramon
Breaking: Emergency crews are on scene at both crash sites. Life Flight is responding to the second collision.
SAN RAMON, CA — Two major injury collisions reported Thursday night have prompted a traffic detour and road closures in San Ramon, police officials said.
The first major injury crash, which was reported at 6:42 p.m., has temporarily closed Northbound Village Parkway between Triana Way and Alcosta Blvd., police officials said.
Police said a car reportedly crashed into a pole during the second major injury collision, which was reported at 8:17 p.m., in the area of Crow Canyon Road and El Capitan Drive. According to police, traffic is being diverted onto El Capitan. Life Flight has been requested to respond to the crash and at least one person is requiring rescue extraction. Crow Canyon between El Capitan and Alcosta Boulevard will be closed in both directions for an extended period of time during the rescue and investigation, according to police.
