Wind Advisory Issued In San Ramon: National Weather Service

Gusts of up to 32 miles an hour are predicted Wednesday night and Thursday.

SAN RAMON, CA — A Wind Advisory has been issued in San Ramon and much of the East Bay in anticipation of gusts up to 30 miles per hour, the National Weather Service reported.

The advisory lasts from Wednesday at 8 p.m. until Thursday at 11 a.m. It extends throughout the East Bay, and much of the North Bay, including Sausalito, Santa Rosa, Napa, and San Rafael.

In San Ramon, the National Weather Service predicts gusts of up to 31 mph Wednesday night, and gusts as high as 32 mph Thursday. Gusts will continue into Friday, with gusts as high as 20 mph predicted Thursday night, and winds of 18 mph on Friday.

The mountains and hills could see gusts as high as 60 mph, the NWS said.

Residents are advised to secure all outdoor objects, and be warned that trees and tree limbs might fall. Power outages may occur as well. See here for outage information. Drivers are advised to drive with extra caution.
