Santa Clara Boosts AI Infrastructure, San Francisco Halts Data Centers (seczine.com) — Santa Clara is doubling down on AI data centers, investing $459 million in power-grid upgrades while keeping Silicon Valley Power rates far below PG&E's. That strategy draws tech companies and helps fund local services, even as some neighbors worry about noise and visual impacts. Meanwhile, San Francisco is considering a short moratorium on new data centers, highlighting very different regional approaches.
