• Bumble Bee Foods to Close Santa Fe Springs Plant, Eliminating More Than 230 Jobs (loscerritosnews.net) — Hundreds of Santa Fe Springs workers are set to lose their jobs as Bumble Bee Foods shutters its longtime tuna processing plant on Arctic Circle, with 197 layoffs scheduled for November and a full closure expected in 2027. The move, part of a companywide consolidation, will erase a significant block of local manufacturing positions in a city whose economy heavily depends on industrial and food-processing jobs.
