Local leaders say the money will ease pressure on the city’s strained budget while making parks and public spaces more accessible for residents of all abilities.

• Multiple Arrests, Drugs and Cash Seized, and Children Found in Santa Maria Home (keyt.com) — Santa Maria police arrested three local men after finding drugs, cash, and small children inside a home late Thursday night. Investigators say the residence appeared to be used for packaging and selling narcotics while children were present, and the suspects now face conspiracy, drug sales, and child endangerment charges.
