• The Saint Rose Disco: Micah Perrin of Sounds Good Sonoma (bohemian.com) — Santa Rosa dance fans can catch local DJ Micah Perrin, aka Saint Rose Disco, headlining an Alien Disco party at Barrel Proof on October 23. In a new interview, he explains how he reads the dance floor, balances weddings with his Sounds Good Sonoma events, and plans a sci‑fi themed night of disco and house for costumed "alien babes and disco studs."
• north-bay-athletes-of-the-week-top-performers-in-prep-sports-around-region-18 (fresnobee.com) — High school athletes from around Sonoma County, including Santa Rosa, turned in standout performances as league races heat up. Cardinal Newman's flag football team routed Santa Rosa 42-0 behind a big passing night, while golfers competed at Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club and other local teams in Cloverdale, Windsor, Analy, and Rancho Cotate extended winning streaks across several sports.
• EV-D68 Reaches Some of the Highest Wastewater Levels Since Tracking Began, Raising Concern for Children with Asthma (medicaldaily.com) — Wastewater monitoring has detected the EV-D68 respiratory virus in Santa Rosa and other Northern California communities, with national levels among the highest since tracking began. Families of children with asthma are urged to review action plans, ensure inhalers and school paperwork are current, and watch for worsening breathing or sudden limb weakness that requires emergency care. Most infections still cause only mild, cold-like illness.
